How Does Gradito Work?
Gradito is an end-to-end event and placement service for people who care about food. Our events start with a chef from the World's best Restaurants, available on your required date and who fits the mood of your event. Our planning team works with you to fine-tune the details and the menu.
How much does Gradito cost?
Prices start at $1,700 for private chef experiences for up to 10 guests (pus the cost of ingredients). For larger groups, placements, or more complex menus, rates vary based on chef experience and event details.
Do I need to provide any groceries for the Chef?
No. Your Gradito chef handles all grocery shopping, cooking, and cleanup; you just get to enjoy the meal.
What should I tell the chef about dietary restrictions?
Let our team know in advance about any allergies, intolerances, or preferences (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.). The more detail you provide, the better they can craft a safe, delicious meal suited for you.
Can I hire a Gradito chef for a corporate event or large group?
Yes. Gradito supports corporate gatherings, celebrations, and large-group events. Get in touch to discuss details, share your guest count, and event style so we can match our service to fit your needs.
What happens on the day of the event?
Our chef-led team arrives early to set up and discuss service style. After your experience is complete, we'll make sure to leave no trace in your home or event space.
What if I want a themed menu or a custom dish that isn’t on the chef’s sample menu?
Our event team will fine-tune all logistics and create custom menus, including unique dishes that reflect your mood for the night; just , and we'll plan accordingly.
Is the cost of food included in the quoted price?
Our proposal will contain all pricing you'll pay for your expereince.
What geographic areas does Gradito serve?
Gradito currently operates in major U.S. cities across states, including New York, Florida, California, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Texas, Connecticut, and New Jersey. We also have presence in Europe, the UAE, and Australia.
What if something goes wrong or I need to change my booking?
If you need to adjust your event (change the guest count, make menu modifications, adjust the chef's arrival time, etc.), contact us. We do our best to accommodate changes. For last-minute issues, we’ll work with you to find a solution.
What types of cuisine does Gradito offer?
Gradito chefs provide Cantonese, French, Italian, Japanese, Mediterranean, New American, Kosher, Plant-Based, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. We'll match you with the appropriate chef and team to suit your needs.
How does menu planning work?
Plan your experience with us, and we'll share this year's sample menu guide. We write bespoke menus for each expereince. After taking your preferences, we'll share a first draft and continue to develop your menu until you're happy.
How many people can enjoy a gradito Full-service event?
We currently support events ranging from 2 to 100 guests. We love tailoring our services to fit your needs.
Which plates and glasses are used for the events?
We are happy to use your own plates and glassware. If you prefer rentals, simply let us know, and we will arrange them.
How far in advance should I book a private chef through Gradito?
While we organize same-week experiences, it is best to book as much time in advance as possible.
Does Gradito provide sommelier or wine pairing services?
Yes. For many events, you can add sommelier services or wine pairings to complement your meal. Let us know when booking.
Can Gradito chefs cook outdoors or in non-traditional settings (like rooftops)?
Yes. Chefs can adapt to outdoor settings or unusual locations, provided basic cooking equipment is available or agreed upon ahead of time, and necessary logistics (power, permits) are handled.
How does Gradito select and vet its chefs?
Gradito chefs are selected based on their culinary training, experience (often in high-end or Michelin-level kitchens), and ability to deliver excuisitely-executed meals. We also look for chefs with the appropriate soft skills.
What kitchen equipment or space do I need to have for the chef’s visit?
A working stove, oven, sink, counter space, and basic tools will work. Most chefs will bring specialty tools as needed, depending on your menu. Prior communication will determine if we need rentals.
